Multiplication

I am so impressed with how well everyone is doing with their times tables!!  We started 5s today!  Study them tonight!  I wish there was a easy way or trick to learning the times tables, but the old tried and true way is to just study them each night and learn them!  Keep up the good work!  Ice cream sundae party when EVERYBODY knows ALL of them!  :)

Thanksgiving Feast Pics!

We had so much fun on our trip to see "Chasing George Washington"! It was a great and funny play!   We also got to drop off our donated canned foods at the Macon Outreach!  They were so excited and appreciative for our help!  What an awesome way to show God's love...Give to those that truly need it .....and asking nothing in return!  We were so proud!
Our Thanksgiving feast was a huge success!  The children and teachers loved everything.  It is always so nice to have a special time to enjoy family and friends.  Thanks to everyone who prepared, sent, or served !  Thanks to our room moms for coordinating everything!  We have such a generous and giving group this year for which we are thankful!
I hope everyone has a great and peaceful Thanksgiving break.  It is so nice to have the whole week off.  We look forward to lots of festive Christmas activities with your child when we return.  Thanks for all you do for the third grade.  Here are a few pics from our day!

Molly's Pilgrim Project

This week, we are reading a trade book entitled Molly’s Pilgrim.  We will have a reading  and vocabulary quiz on Thursday.  Students (with the help from a parent) will also be making a clothespin pilgrim or Indian doll to go with the book. Students will make the clothespin doll at home.  I sent home a clothespin, a note, and vocabulary list today explaining this a little more.  Students will need to bring to school a shoebox lid   by  Friday. We will be making a home at school for the doll that you make at home.  The dolls will be due on Friday as well.  Please read and listen to your child read this story.  It is one of my favorite books.  It has such a sweet message about differences, modern day pilgrims, and  accepting others.  I am so looking forward to all the creative pilgrim and Indian dolls!  If you have any questions, let me know!
