THANK YOU!

Thank you for all the sweet and thoughtful gifts for Valentine's Day.  It is just like all of you to be so thoughtful and caring.  I loved everything!  I'm sorry to say that I have already eaten most of the chocolates (YIKES!) and working on the rest.  You now know my weakness!!  Our sundae party turned out to  Great!  I think the students enjoyed this!  Thanks  goes to Mrs. Stubbs, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Herndon, and Mrs. Dingmore for getting the things together and helping serve and clean up!  Thank you to many others that were unable to be here but sent things for us to enjoy!  YOU DESERVE A HAND!

Updates and Reminders!

Auction Project ~   Jenny Stubbs has purchased a bookshelf.  The plans are to paint it and let the children get involved with decorating it.  All we need now are books!!!  If everyone could donate, 1 or 2...or more if you like...gently used books to fill the shelves, our project will be complete!  Any age level books will do!  If you are interested in helping Jenny with our project, let me know!

Dreamcatcher  / March 4th at 7:00~~~   Mrs. Wallace sent home important information about the musical in yesterday's folder. Be sure you know what your child is expected to wear for his/her costume. Also, those with speaking and singing parts should have them memorized by February 21. Dress rehearsals are the week of March 1. Email Mrs. Wallace at cwallace@tattnall.org if you have further questions. Our third graders are the stars of the performance!!! Break a leg...

Macon Photo Project / March 1st  ~    I hope you are having fun with this project.  I have heard some interesting stories about getting pictures for the album.  Remember ~ 10 photos of historical places in Macon, each photo needs a title and 1 fact. Check your work and be neat!  Mostly ....have fun!

Friendship!

Mrs. Allen has been leading the third grade girls in a series of guidance lessons on friendship. Mrs. Allen said, "They were a sweet group, and I hope they will keep thinking about what all we discussed. We signed an oath and I am hanging it out in the hall as a reminder for them. It is a simple oath but we talked in detail about what it really means to be a "great" friend. Hopefully some of it sinks in! :)"    One of my girls said, "I learned a lot about being a friend and getting along!"

Thank you, Mrs. Allen! The girls had a great time!

Diaper Drive

For our February Mission Project, we would like to have a diaper drive to help the families at the Rescue Mission. A friend of mine works there, and when I asked her what my third graders could do to help, she quickly responded have a diaper drive.  There are many children that are at the mission and diapers are something that they need many of  regularly.  We will be collecting diapers of any size and any brands through next Friday.  If you could help, we would greatly appreciate it.
