100th Day of School!!!!!!!

100th Day! Our day turned out great! We had a lot of fun. We made 100 day glasses, ate a 100th day cookie snack , flipped a penny 100 times and tallied our results, ,estimated things we could do in 100 sec., figured out that 100 sec. is only 1 min. and 40 sec., and more . We also realized that we have only 80 school days left until summer vacation!!!
Tomorrow will be another fun day! Pajama Day!! Don't forget to bring your breakfast with you in the morning!

Pajama Day, Friday, January 27, 2012

The Elementary School is having Pajama Day this Friday. Students are encouraged to wear their pjs to school!?! Students may also bring in their favorite pillow. That morning we will enjoy breakfast in the classroom. So, each student should stop by their favorite fast food restaurant and pick up their breakfast for that morning. Or you may bring your own breakfast from home. Either is fine. We will start the day in our pjs eating breakfast in the classroom. Other activities are planned for the day. It promises to be a fun day!

100th Day of School.....Thursday!

Thursday, January 26, is the 100th day of school. To go along with some of our activities we have planned for that day, each student should bring in a collection of 100 items. Use your imagination and put your 100 collection in a ziplock bag and bring it to school to share with the class on Thursday. Thank you! We will have a fun day exploring the number 100 in many ways!

Third Grade Diaper Drive for the Dove Center

(Now – Feb. 3, 2012) We are collecting diapers, all sizes, for the Dove Center. The Dove Center is a division of the Macon Rescue Mission. The following is from their web page: The Dove Center, our Women’s Division, is a residential program for female victims of domestic violence and their children. We provide a safe place where women can find healing and regain independence. Our goal with this six-month program is to empower the women to become self-sufficient, as we share the hope of Jesus Christ. Residents gain self-esteem, life skills, and Biblical knowledge. We teach them to recognize the cycle of violence. Most importantly, they find healing and the strength to move forward through our services.

As in the past, the staff at the Dove Center always appreciates our donations. You may bring in your diapers any day between now and February 3. Thank you!!!

If you are interested in helping with the cutting, sewing, or anything, please let Kecia or Cristy know. All the projects must  be completed by March 1st.  Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  I am so excited to see the finished work!

Thanks for doing such a great job on the baby project. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the darling baby pictures of everyone and hearing the special memories. I hope it was as much fun for you as it was for me. The boys and girls were very proud. Thanks for your help here!

A TSA Family in Need

Dear Tattnall family,

As some of you know, the Harper/McWhirter family (Sierra McWhirter/ 8th grader) was affected by a fire in their home on January 2nd. We have had an overwhelming response of concern and prayers as well as donation inquiries.
Monetary donations can be sent to the Finance office, and gift cards may be sent to Robyn Rathel or to the Finance office. We thank you in advance for your heartwarming support of one of our own TSA family members.
