GrandKids : Caribbean Sound

Our trip went well today.  It was interesting and fun to hear.  Here are some journal entries from our students about our field trip to the Grand Opera House:

"Today we went to the grandkids and listened to a Caribbean musical.  They told us about the the history of the steel drums.  They said even though the drum is the beat of the band you can use other things like bottles, barrels, or cans.  They play great music.  Our field trip was awesome!"

"Today my class and I went to the Grand Opera House.  We had so much fun!  We saw Carribean Sound.  They were so cool.  They made sounds out of berrals, bamboo, glass botteles  the sounds they made were fantastic."

"Today we went to the the  Grand Opera House.  We saw a band called Caribbean Sound.  They played a bunch of drums.  My favorite drum was the bamboo drum.  There performance was delightful!"

"Today we wnet to the Grand opera House to see Carubbean Sound.  I sat beside SarahBeth and Krosby.  They played music and danced.  It was super fun!"
