Biography Report Info! Please Read!

 

1.  Written reports are due on or before May 5, 2010 (Wednesday).

 2.  The subject may be either living or dead.

 3.  The book must be approved by the teacher.  We have already chosen a book from the library.  Ask your child about it!

 4.  A report form must be completed in neatly written cursive handwriting. This form is in your child’s Friday Folder. Punctuation, capitalization, paragraph indention, and sentence sense will be scored as part of the grade. 

5.  Oral reports will be given during class.  Students should be able to give a 1 -2 minute report on the most important or the most interesting facts about the life of the subject of their biography.  These reports should not be read from the form!  Be able to talk to us about the person you read about.  Give us important facts that you want us to know! 

6.  Please have some type of visual aid (a puppet, drawing, photograph, shadowbox, dress up,  etc.) to go along with your oral report.  Get online and research some fun book report ideas.  Be creative! 

7.  Oral report with visual aid will be spaced out among two days (May 5 and 7).  I will let you know the schedule later.  

ALL written reports are due on May 5.
