Everything seems to be going well!   Here are a few things we have learned and will be learning in the next few weeks.

  ***** Please find  in your child's Friday Folder a letter about the online site for math.

Language ~ review 4 types of sentences, Subjects (Simple, Complete, and Compound), Predicates,

                     Writing(Personal Voice)

Reading ~ comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, Narrative Elements (characters, setting, plot), Decoding Words, Dictionary skills

Spelling ~ Words with short and long vowel sounds ~ Please check over your child's homework!

Social Studies ~ Communities,  map skills, Our Country's Geography, Natural Resources

Bible  ~  Respect  ~ Showing others that they are important by what we say and do.  Showing respect with our actions and with our words.

A.R. goal for Sept. ~  Each student must read and test on two 3rd grade level books.
