We had a special visitor today! Bryce's grandmother, Nona, came and shared a Christmas story that she wrote herself!! It was about a little shepherd boy and his sheep, Boots. It was his story of the Nativity! It was so precious ...hearing the story and watching the children! They were great listeners and very appreciative for the treats Nona gave after the story! She was so impressed with their manners! I was very proud of them for being so courteous!!!! We had a fabulous time! Grandparents hold a special place in our hearts!!!!! Thank You, Nona!
If you have a story or book that you would like to share with us, please let me know! We love having special visitors in our class!
We will be cleaning out our desks and making a list of items that need to be replenished. (paper, highlighters, crayons, red pens, pencils, erasers, etc...) Ask your child. They will know what they need. I am sure Santa would love to know about these needed school items!
KidsYule Love was great today! We showed what kind and generous hearts we have! Thank you for helping to make some child's home a happier place on Christmas. It was a heart-warming event! Jesus is the greatest gift of all!

Yesterday we had a visit from Mr. Hathcock from Macon Outreach. Macon Outreach is a ministry that feeds the homeless and hungry in Macon. They serve over 1,000 plates a week to people right here in our town. He talked to the children about the mission of Macon Outreach and thanked them for their food contributions. Two gentlemen came with him to load the food. They were homeless men, and Mr. Hathcock told us a little about them and others like them that Macon Outreach helps every day. The children were very interested and asked great questions! I love seeing the care and compassion of innocent hearts! Thank you so much for your contributions to this worthy cause. I was so glad to see everyone back from the break! I hope you and your family had an awesome Thanksgiving! The children wrote in their journals about their break, and it sounds like many had a wonderful time. From eating tons of turkey to playing football in the yard to traveling to see family, fun was had by all! We have jumped right back into things around here. I am so pleased with the students' hard work on multiplication. They are earning stickers for each set of times tables, and when EVERYONE has a sticker, we will earn an Ice Cream Sundae Party!! Practicing 5 - 10 minutes each night is very helpful!!
Remember to send in your canned goods by this Friday if you have not already done so. We have several boxes filled in our classroom! Thank you so much for your generosity!!!!
Our December service project is Tattnall's annual Kids Yule Love benefit. The assembly is Monday, December 13, at 8:15, in the Athletic Complex. Each child is asked to bring in one or twounwrapped new toys for a child in our middle Georgia area that is less fortunate.
