While in Plains we will walk to the high school President Carter attended and take a group photo. A walk around the hallways will include many pictures of the Carters as well as artifacts used in the farming community.
We also want students to visit the train depot used as Carter’s campaign headquarters prior to his election. This is a small space and may require a short wait before everyone gets in. Be sure to get some famous peanut ice cream at the store in town!! Yummy!!!
The train departs Plains at 3:00.
We are looking forward to a great trip!
Third Grade Teachers
You may want to get together, so we do not have so many cars. Let us know about riding together, and we don’t mind if you ride with someone in the other class. Please let us know ASAP when you arrange to carpool.
