PICNIC LUNCH on Friday!!!!!

Testing is going well!  The students say it is fun and EaSy.  Boy, does that scare me!!  I'm sure they are doing fine.   Not only do I have a sweet bunch, they are also a very bright bunch.  I am so proud of their diligence and positive attitudes this week.  Thanks so much for getting everyone here and being on time!   I know that can be a tough job sometimes!

***On Friday, March 25, the third grade will picnic outside for lunch, weather permitting. This will be a fun way to end the week after all their hard work with ITBS testing. Be sure your child has a lunch from home and a drink. You may send a towel or blanket, too.   ALSO.....Friday afternoon all the elementary school will be treated to snowcones!   YEAH!!!  What a great way to end the week! ****

Bring on Spring Break!!  Have fun and be safe!!!  See you April 4th!

Next Week.....March 21-25

Please find in your child's Friday Folder his/her report card.  Because of the BuSy week we had, I am keeping work from this week and will place it in next week's folders.  Here is a look at what's ahead......

ITBS TESTING ~ Monday - Thursday. Please be on time. We will start each morning around 8:30 and finish around 10:30. Be sure your child is rested, has a good breakfast, and is on time!  This will help your child to do his/her best!  We will not have Spelling or Reading story next week, but  might have light homework.

Flat Stanley -Several have presented their projects!  WoW!!! They were great and interesting!  If you can get yours in and ready, it would be nice to have them finished before Spring Break!  I know some you are having trouble.  If there is a problem, send me an email or let me know.

FYI ~ Third Grade Easter Party/Egg Hunt: Thursday, April 21, at the Waterworks Park. More information will follow after Spring Break.

Thanks to the room moms for having a refreshing St. Patty's Day dessert at lunchtime today! The children and teachers enjoyed the lime floats.

WOW!  What a great day we had yesterday!  Everything went perfectly...considering we had a long wait to get us started!  We could not have asked for better weather!  I am so proud of the students’ behavior as well.  According to our journal writing today, the peanut butter ice cream was a favorite of many...mine included!  We also wrote five "facts" that we each learned from our field trip.  =) These were very interesting!?! =)  I hope you had fun!  We work very hard trying to plan fun and educational trips.   Thank you to the parents that drove and chaperoned.

Macon Photo Projects

 GREAT! AWESOME! CREATIVE!
I have enjoyed looking at the Macon Photo Projects!!!  Everyone did fabulous jobs!  We will not be having an end of the unit test.  We have been taking grades on work as we went!  We have moved right into Science: Georgia Habitats.  I hope you had fun learning about our great state and city!

Important Note about Field Trip!!!

TRAIN TRIP TOMORROW!!!!!
Again... be at TSA soccer parking lot under the awning at 7:15. We will have a brief meeting and pull out at 7:30.  Have a sack lunch, snack,  and drinks. You may bring spending money, too.  Any games, etc. that you plan to bring should be in a backpack.  These items will be safe on the train when we visit the museum and Plains.  Wear your TSA uniform shirt (yellow, blue, or white) with jeans/khaki/ or uniform shorts, and tennis shoes.  We plan on returning around 6:30.  We understand that this trip is a long day.  The train moves slowly, but part of the enjoyment of the field trip is the experience of the train ride.  Please be prepared to sit back, socialize, and enjoy the day!
We will be handing out directions at our meeting in the soccer parking lot!   If you have any questions, please let us know!
The train waits for NO ONE!
