We have had a great first week in third grade! Everyone has their supplies and we have organized our desks and chairbags.  We have learned some new rules and procedures and what is expected of us in Third Grade.  We have been to P.E., Library, Science Lab, Art, and Chapel!  We even planted a garden in a glove!!!! I am working on getting our pictures on here, so look for them soon!!

Here are a few reminders for you:
Lunch accounts should already be set up. If not, please do so as soon as possible if your child will eat in the lunchroom. Of course this is optional. Lunches from home are fine, too. IF you sent an item that needs to be heated in the microwave, be sure your child knows how to operate one. Also, do NOT send lunches that have to be cooked in the microwave. It is ONLY used to warm foods.

The Finance Office has said that most have paid their $75.00 activity fee, but a few have not.  If you haven't, please send this in ASAP...either through me or directly to finance office.  Please remember to place your payment in a labeled envelope!  This helps cover the cost of some workbooks, some exploratory, and Weekly Reader!

Be sure to go to the school's website and  update your information. The corrections and additions you gave me at Orientation are for my records. You will need to go online and correct/check/add to your information in the forms and publications area. Medical release information, internet/acceptable use forms, etc. are all in one place for you to complete. We are trying really hard to become a "paperless school" and do our part to help with paper waste. This also alleviates the task of parents filling out multiple forms.

Several  have turned in Summer Reading lists.WOW!!!  I am proud of the number of books these third graders read over the summer! If you did keep a reading log, remember to send it in to me via your child.Remember that this blog is my main means of communication with you. Please check it regularly. It helps if you put your email in the Feedburner spot on the right side.

If you have a question or need to relay a message to me, please email me at rhonda.hardy@tattnall.org. I make every effort to return messages in a timely manner.

I am very excited about this year and about working with each of you! We are so fortunate to be in a school where we can praise God so openly...and we do, each and every day! Thank you for your support and for the opportunity to teach your child! If you ever have any questions or concerns, my door is always open!

Have a great weekend,
Mrs. Hardy
What a Great Bunch!!!!!
