A Glance at Our Week ~ Jan. 7-11,2013

I hope everyone had a great and rested Christmas break!!  Besides being sick, I had fun over the holidays with family and friends.  But....believe it or not, I was ready to see those bright smiling faces come through my classroom door last week!!!  We have gotten off to a great start, and we will be picking up the pace and learning so much more!

Spelling: words with the /ar/ sound/test Friday
Reading: Ramona Forever; realistic fiction; prefixes and suffixes; baby project due Thursday/test Friday
Language: state of  'be'  verbs and action verbs / "How To" writing
Wordly Wise: Lesson 7

Math: multiplication; factors; products; times tables 2, 5, and 3. If your child doesn't have multiplication flaschcards, you may want to pick up some on your next Walmart trip.  The best way to learn these is to drill each night!
Science: magnets
Bible: God is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit!  Trinity - 3 in 1

'Show and Tell' on Friday - magnetic item
