A Glance at This 1/2 Week and Next Week....

I hope you had a wonderful break.  I trust that you are relaxed and refreshed....despite the rain and arctic weather. I pray that everyone is  ready for the rest of the school year and is ready to get back to work....finish strong!  Hard to believe that half of the year is over!!  With our 2 extra days off, this week has turned out to be a short and 'get back into the groove' week!  

 Below is a glance at our short week ....and next week too!

Reading - Ramona Forever - skills: prefixes/suffixes - Test next Friday - With this story we will be doing a simple project.  The project sheet and instructions will come home in Friday Folders.

Spelling - /ar/ words like in start and yard

Language - 'How To' writing ; and Verbs - helping and main verbs

Wordly Wise - Lesson 7

Math - Multiplication- Chapter 7 - We have already been working on 2s and 5s. We will cover 3s next week. If your child doesn't have multiplication flashcards, you may want to purchase some.  If your child has an ipad, you can go to the App Store and search some free ones.  Either way your child needs to spend at least 10 min. nightly review these.  The more they study, the better they will be!  

Social Studies/ Science - Georgia Unit- We will begin our study of Georgia's habitats, animals, history, symbols, agriculture, and government.

Bible - Prodigal Son- Luke 15: 11-32
