Here are some of the skills we have or will be working on...

Reading: "Nate the Great, San Francisco Detective";  genre: mystery ~ skills: decoding long words and dictionary skills;  on-going skills:  reading fluency and vocabulary   - Test on Friday

Wordly Wise - Lesson 1 - Study! - Test over Les. 1 on tomorrow
Language : Chp. 2 - Subjects- Nouns, Complete/Simple Subjects, Compound Subjects

Spelling: words with long a and long e vowel sounds - Test on Friday

Math : con't with place value to thousands/ review of addition with carrying/ telling time/ length measurements... Speed Drills daily 
Social Studies: Communities/ Map Skills

Bible: Genesis:  Creation - Adam and Eve  

The deadline for ordering a Homecoming t-shirt is Friday, August 29th.  If you would like to place an order, please turn in your order and money by Friday.  The form was in your child's Friday Folder.   If you need another, just let me know!

Friday, August 29th, will be a Spirit Day!  Students can donate $1.00 and wear a Tattnall t-shirt and jeans on this day.  The money collected from the 8/29 "Spirit Day" ($1 per student) will go to the ALS Association #ICEBUCKETCHALLENGE to help find the cure for ALS. 

Last Friday we had another GrEaT Show and Tell day!  I am so proud of the students for finding such interesting items to share, and I am very impressed with how well they are speaking in front of their peers and how knowledgeable they are!
