We Are "ROCKING" right along!!!!
Do you know......
What is Georgia's little Grand Canyon?
What Georgia mineral is called "white gold"?
What famous statue is carved from strong Georgia marble?
We have started our first unit in science, Rocks and Minerals! The kids seem to LOVE it!!! Mrs. Moncrief has been doing hands-on activities in Science Lab, and these third graders have been paying attention! I can already tell! We will cover a lot of information, but it should be fun!
The students have a rock hunt homework activity that was sent home on Wednesday and to be completed by Friday. Please help your child with this hunt. We will classify the rocks according to texture, color, luster, etc.
Next week we will create our very own "pet rocks" for a hall display. We are "RoCkInG" along!!!! (heeheehee)!!
