Reading:  "Rosie, A Visiting Dog's Story": genre-  personal narrative; Test - Friday
   skills-word relationships/ word decoding/ continue w/ word relationships;
   on-going skills - reading fluency and vocabulary
Wordly Wise: continue studying Lesson 5 - quiz Wed., Nov. 5
Spelling:  words with the /ou/ sound - spelled ou or ow - Test on Friday
Language:   Nouns - plural

Math:  5x table,  Test on Tues., Oct. 28 , over adding, subtracting, multiplying (2-4xtables)(2 digit by 1 digit), name 5 steps of division in order, counting coins; daily speed drills 
Social Studies:  Chapter 3/ America's First People
Bible: story of God's covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob

*Tuesday, Oct. 28, is a Spirit Dress Day.
*Chapel:  Third Grade will perform at 10:00 in Trojan Hall on Wednesday. Please help your child with practicing his/her speaking part.  We have practiced it in class, but extra practice at home is always a good idea!
*Friday, Oct. 31,  is a Spirit Dress Day. $2.00 donation- Your donations will be going to the United Way and the Ronald McDonald House.
*Pumpkin snack on Friday, Oct. 31 .

*FACULTY FOLLIES - “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” featuring our Junior Dancers, is Monday, 
November at 7 p.m. in Trojan Hall. - Many faculty members will be singing (well sorta) and dancing (if you want to call it that)  on stage!  An oldie has come back around!  You don't want to miss this treat!  Get your tickets early!   Advance tickets are $5; $6 at the door.  See any junior to purchase tickets.  Tickets may also be purchased from the Upper School Office or the Lower School Office.


*Tickets for next week’s varsity football game at MDS will be presold at $5 per ticket; $7, if purchased at the gate.  See Mrs. Cheek in the upper school office or Mrs. Joyner in the lower school office to purchase tickets.
